Overview

Lavie ("the App") is a personal finance app developed by Kui Liang. Your privacy matters. This policy explains how the App handles your data.

In short: Lavie does not collect, store, or transmit your personal data to any server we operate. All your financial data stays on your device or in your personal iCloud account.

Data Storage

• Local storage: All financial data (income, expenses, assets, and goals) is stored locally on your device using on-device databases.
• iCloud sync (optional): If you enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your personal iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit. This data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. Lavie does not have access to your iCloud credentials or account.

Data We Do Not Collect

Lavie does not collect:

• Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
• Location data
• Usage analytics or tracking data
• Advertising identifiers
• Financial account credentials (bank logins, card numbers)

Third-Party Services

• Foreign exchange rates: Lavie fetches currency exchange rates from the Frankfurter API (powered by the European Central Bank). These requests do not include any personal or financial data — only the currency pairs and dates needed for conversion.
• Apple StoreKit: In-app subscriptions are processed entirely through Apple. Lavie does not handle or store any payment information.

Data Export

You can export your financial data as a JSON file from within the App. This file is generated locally on your device and shared only through the method you choose (e.g., AirDrop, Files, email).

Data Deletion

To delete all your data:

• Delete the App from your device to remove all local data.
• If you used iCloud sync, go to Settings > Apple ID > iCloud > Manage Storage on your device to remove the associated iCloud data.

Children's Privacy

Lavie is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
